EWTA IS making decisions regarding
Public health
driven by
sensibility, not fear...

For up-to-date, trustworthy information regarding covid-19,
Follow UCSF School of Medicine's weekly Grand Rounds

*Regarding vaccinations and protocols:
Receiving vaccination not mean you are immune from potentially carrying and passing along a virus.
Even if you have been recently vaccinated, for the safety of myself and my client group,
please continue to honor the protocol requests below.
Thank you!

*Please Postpone Your Appointment if...

*If you have broken isolation, visited outside of your pod, dined indoors, or taken similar risks
Or:

*If you have symptoms that you even mildly suspect could be a contagious common cold or virus
Or:
*if you have had a known or suspected instance of potential exposure to a symptomatic or possibly contagious person
Or:
*if you have been in public spaces where social distancing was not adhered to
Or
*Any other risk that you have encountered...

All last minute cancellation fees have been suspended until further notice. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Knowingly coming into the office while even possibly contagious puts all others at risk.
As the practitioner, I am accountable to an entire client group who trusts that I am following protocols and universal precautions.
Some clients may be elder, or immune compromised.
Other clients may have additional responsibilities to their own workplaces or family circles...

Please consider your role as part of a collective. Thank you.

Here is an incomplete list of precautions and protocols I will be following at EWTA as we reopen:

  • air filtration system in use 24/7
  • face masks and shield in use during sessions and while in office
  • disinfectant wiping of surfaces between sessions
  • disposable masks and hand sanitizer available for client use
  • appointments scheduled at specific times to avoid crossing paths and to allow for the space to be properly sanitized before client arrival
  • communication to scheduled clients in the event that I have engaged in any activity that posed a risk of exposure, so the client may decide for themselves to keep or postpone their appointment
  • clients seeking bodywork understand the reason for protocols and why it is necessary to adhere to protocols in daily life for the sake of the whole group
  • water, and other accoutrements that would increase contact of surfaces, will temporarily not be available for clients, so please bring your own if you usually need water after a session

Please review these following guidelines.
I am requesting that all clients follow these universal precautions if they intend to book.

*Use PPE Regularly:
  • Please continue to adhere to social distancing and PPE protocols whenever possible, in your daily lives. A bodywork environment is an intimate space that poses a higher vector risk. We are treating Covid-19 as a medical situation. When dealing with any medical situation, we assume the risk exists.

*Practice Good Hygiene
  • Wash hands often and avoid unintentional contact with surfaces
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, and mucous membranes
  • Carry and use sanitizer whenever contact with public surfaces is unavoidable, i.e. gas station pump, grocery cart, etc.

*Arrive on Time:
  • For the time being, please do not enter the office prior to your appointment time. If you arrive at your scheduled time, this will ensure that the office space has been properly sanitized before your arrival.

*Be Freshly Clothed and Showered:
  • Arrive this way rather than coming in the attire you’ve worn in public all day. This will help me keep my space as clean as possible. I understand this may be a challenge for some who traditionally come straight from work. I am going to modify my schedule as best I can to meet the needs of as many clients as possible, without overextending myself.

*Face Masks in Sessions:
  • The office is an intimate setting that poses a higher vector risk. Wearing a mask significantly reduces cross-contamination.  Barring any health issues or other restrictions that would prevent it, I will ask that you wear a face mask during our time together. I will have disposable masks available for those who do not have a personal mask. please reach out if you have any issues regarding this.

If your personal beliefs are in alignment with the purported reality and seriousness of the presence of Covid-19 and/ or you are having concerns about returning to bodywork:
  • Rest assured that I will be following solid protocols in the office and I will continually do my best to ensure that the importance of Universal Precautions and are understood by all clients. However it will not be possible to truly guarantee a totally sanitary environment, since there are so many unknowns and variables. Therefore seeking bodywork will be at your own risk. If you are worried about health risks or have other circumstances that are causing concern for you to return at this time, please do not hesitate to reach out to discuss any details of your situation or your bodywork need, or of this reopening process, to help you determine when it will feel right for you to return.

If your personal beliefs about Covid-19 are in contrast to the purported reality and seriousness of the presence of this virus:

  • If this applies to you and you are planning on returning to EWTA soon I'll ask you to please acknowledge there is a broad recognition that there are still many unknowns we are each facing daily. It can be easy to forget or tempting to deny this. It is uncomfortable to "not know" what's going on and it can be tempting to fill in the blanks with the news of the day. This "not knowing" includes misinformation as well as a lack of information. It is extremely important to refer at this time only to those with a direct understanding of the scientific rationale of Epidemiology to seek guidance on how to move forward in the context of risk. This includes practicing Universal Precautions as a daily habit. Even if the data showing severity was found to be schewed, "Better Safe Than Sorry" and Common Courtesy are the bottom line at EWTA.

If anything else comes to mind for you please do not hesitate to bring it to my attention.
Thank you for your cooperation, stay well, enjoy Nature, we'll connect again soon!
