Imbolc

Time for awakening and rejuvenating, our bodies begin to resonate with the coming of Nature's Spring, known in the ancestral tradition I follow as Imbolc. But Chinese Medicine and other cultures agree, around the beginning of February, dormant life-force energies deep within root systems and hibernating creatures, begin to stir and revitalize- not just our bodies but our creative impulses. We know this as The Quickening. I always look for the crocus or the bluebells, who have been growing under the snow, to herald their beautiful bursts of life and the coming year, through the snow and mud. This is akin to the process of our energy systems during this time.

Working out winter's aches, readying you and your body to stretch and reach, this is a multi-dimensioned table shiatsu and classic massage fusion with Nettle and Calendula infused Almond oil, supportive and nourishing to Springtime body processes. Deep trigger point release, myofasical release, hot packs, stretching, and more, to help the body unwind key areas from its hibernation posture, head to hips to toes, gaining openness in the torso and shoulders as well, as the Spring meridians are addressed and uncurled. Opening, revitalizing, a Spring cleaning of sorts, banishing Winter's lingering shadows and stirring the inner pot, moving circulation and waking our cells to the coming light and the
creative impulses that seek our invitation to manifest through us in the coming year.
